Sacred Rites Initiatory Dance Workshop Santa Fe, New Mexico April 2nd, 2005 2 PM to 6 PM

There have been sacred dances done in ancient temples throughout time for those who seek to remember their union with the Divine while in the body. The temple dancers are an instrument of the Universal Force that awakens not only the dancer but also those who are ready for the remembrance.

Our time together will be spent in this sacred doorway. We will weave together the ancient/future stories of this precious life as we are on a larger threshold of a great change in consciousness.

We will hold counsel to vision together. Our moments will be of intention setting, prayer, yoga, dance, witnessing and reflection.

No dance experience is required. If you feel the Call, please grace us with your presence. Space is limited due to the nature of this work.

Spirit Dance - An Initiatory Dance Workshop for Women

There have been sacred dances performed in ancient temples throughout time for those who seek to remember their union with the Divine while in the body. The temple dancers are an instrument of the Universal Force that awakens not only the dancer but also those who are ready for the remembrance.

Miranda will start us off with soulful sounding that will weave the fabric of connection and beauty that deepens us into our day of remembering. Miranda says, "Our voice is one of the most untapped, unexplored musical gifts we possess. It is an instrument of creative expression, affirmation and healing. For ages, song has been used as an integral part of daily life, as well as for significant rites of passage. People sang their prayers and devotions. They sang while planting, cooking, and mending. They sang to uplift and to commune with one another."

In this workshop, we will use our voices as a tool of remembrance, remembering our connection to spirit and life. We will explore wordless vocalizations to activate our voices with intention, as well as use it as a vehicle for inner expression. This exploration will give you access and power to discover and express your own sacred sounds and songs within.

Our time together will be spent in this sacred doorway. We will weave together the ancient and future stories of this precious life as we are on a larger threshold of a great change in consciousness.

We will hold counsel to vision together. Our moments will be of intention setting, prayer, yoga, dance, witnessing and reflection.

  • What to Bring...
A yoga matt or towel to sit on, water and a light snack.
